Privacy Policy

VOREXA is an agriculture and livestock company based in Arusha, Tanzania. We collect personal information only where it is needed to do the work you have asked us to do: sourcing produce or livestock, buying what you have to sell, registering you as a partner, or answering a question you have sent us.

What we collect

Through the forms on this website we may collect your name, phone number, email address, location or district, the crops, animals or products you are offering or looking for, quantities, harvest dates, health status of animals, any notes or message you write, and photographs you choose to upload of your produce or livestock. We do not ask for national ID numbers, bank details or payment information through this website.

Why we collect it and how it is used

The information is used to contact you about your submission, to verify and grade what you are offering, to match buyers with sellers, to arrange collection, transport or delivery, and to keep an internal record of enquiries so our team can follow up properly. Photographs are used to assess quality and, where a match is being discussed, may be shown to a specific prospective buyer. If you would prefer your photographs not to be shared with a buyer, tell us and we will respect that.

Who can see your information

Access is limited to VOREXA staff who need it to handle your enquiry. Where the whole purpose of your submission is to be connected with a counterparty, for example a buyer looking for maize and a farmer offering maize, we share the minimum needed to make that introduction, normally your name, location, what you are offering or seeking, and a contact number once both sides have agreed to proceed. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for unrelated advertising.

Where your information is stored

Form submissions and uploaded images are stored on managed cloud infrastructure powered by Supabase, using access controls that restrict reading of submissions to authorised VOREXA administrators. Uploaded images are held in a private storage bucket and are not publicly browsable. Data may be processed on servers outside Tanzania as part of that hosting arrangement.

How long we keep it

We keep submissions for as long as they are commercially useful, typically while a relationship or seasonal cycle is active, and then remove or archive them. You can ask us to delete your record sooner at any time.

Your choices

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You may also ask us to stop contacting you. We will act on such requests within a reasonable period and we will not penalise you for making one.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the technical storage needed to run it, such as remembering whether you have chosen English or Swahili. We do not run advertising trackers. Pages that embed a map from Google may set cookies controlled by that provider.

Who we are and what we do

VOREXA both produces agricultural and livestock products directly and acts as an aggregator and broker between producers and buyers. When we act as a broker we are facilitating an introduction and a negotiation; we are not automatically a party to the contract of sale between a farmer and a buyer unless we have expressly agreed in writing to buy or sell the goods ourselves.

No guarantee of a completed transaction

Submitting a buying request, a selling submission or a partner registration does not create a binding agreement and does not guarantee that a match, a sale, a price or a delivery will follow. Availability, quantities and prices shown on this website are indicative and can change with the season, weather and market conditions. Any firm commitment on quantity, grade, price, payment terms or timing will be confirmed separately and directly with you before goods move.

Acceptable use

You agree to provide information that is accurate and that you are entitled to share, and not to submit false enquiries, spam, malware, another person's details without their permission, or images you do not own. You agree not to use this site to offer stolen livestock or produce, to attempt to interfere with the site's operation, or to harvest contact details of other users. We may decline, suspend or remove any submission at our discretion, including where a listing appears fraudulent or where animal welfare or quality standards are clearly not met.

Quality, grading and inspection

Grading and inspection carried out by VOREXA is a good-faith commercial assessment, not a laboratory certification, unless a formal certificate is issued and named as such. Buyers remain responsible for satisfying themselves as to fitness for their intended use, and for any licensing, health, phytosanitary or import requirements applicable to them.

Export services

We currently supply local and regional markets. Where this website refers to export, it describes an ambition we are building toward and is marked accordingly. We do not represent that we hold export certifications we have not obtained.

Liability

This website and its content are provided as they are, without warranty of uninterrupted availability or freedom from error. To the fullest extent permitted by Tanzanian law, VOREXA is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from a counterparty's conduct in a transaction we facilitated but were not a contracting party to. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.

Third-party content

Pages may embed third-party content such as maps or messaging links. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.

Intellectual property

The VOREXA name, wordmark, vine symbol and the text and imagery on this site belong to VOREXA unless stated otherwise, and may not be reproduced commercially without our written permission. By uploading images you grant us permission to use them for the purpose of assessing and marketing that specific consignment.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page as our services develop. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and disputes arising from them are subject to the jurisdiction of the Tanzanian courts. We will always try to resolve a disagreement directly and in good faith first, so call or write to us before anything else.
